On the theory that if my work isn't what you want you may want to
talk to another stone carver, here are a few that I've encountered
over time. I know some others, but these are the ones with web sites.
Sue Toorans - my co-instructor
and long time friend.
Doug Howatt - a student
studying with Sue and me, though the word "student" is misleading.
There isn't much we've got left to teach him, but he keeps coming
back anyway. He's got natural talent!
Andrew Gurthet - Another
student in name only. Andrew is an accomplished artist in several
media.
Jason P. Nelson - A
fellow traveller on the stone sculpture road, living in Canada.
Other Artists
SolVici Glass - Fused glass
work by a friend and former co-worker, Carol, now living in Wisconsin.
Online Resources
About Stone - a source for
links to stone carvers all over the world and ongoing discussions
about working stone in many ways. An impressive web site.
Definitely worth your time.
The Pacific Art League
- an arts teaching non-profit in Palo Alto, CA.
The stone carving class I teach is offered through this group.
See their web site for specific dates and hours. See my
stone carving classes page for other
information.
I am always willing to cross link to other sculpture related sites.
Please use the "Contact" button above to tell me about your site so
we can cross link if appropriate.
