Tower II came to me as a very modern - and yet ancient - tower.
Perhaps some king building a castle envisioned such a thing, but lacked
the technology to build it. I'd created my first tower
earlier and this stone wanted to be something related.
The media is a pale green soapstone. It's from India, if I recall correctly. It is very soft, and scratches easily, so this piece needs to be treated gently. It is quite striking in person, however. Approximate dimensions: 23" tall, including base, which is 8" in diameter. Tower II is available for purchase. Please contact the artist for more information. |
