Tower II

Tower II came to me as a very modern - and yet ancient - tower. Perhaps some king building a castle envisioned such a thing, but lacked the technology required to make it happen. I'd created my first Tower earlier and this stone needed to be related to that piece somehow.

The media is a pale green soapstone. It is very soft, and scratches easily, so this piece needs to be treated gently. It is quite striking, however, with depth and subtle shifts in the color that catch the eye.

Dimensions: Approximately 23 inches tall, including base, which is 8 inches in diameter.
