Together was carved from an intricately veined piece of red, white
and black alabaster. As with most stones of complex color patterns, I
found that a simple shape was the best idea, as complex shapes tend to get
lost in the figuring. This piece was Doug & Laurel's wedding gift, and
I carved it with that in mind - two related shapes becoming one.
The odd background for these photos is my fault. The pictures were taken
in a gallery in Ben Lomond, CA, where the piece was on display. I sent
it off before I remembered I needed to re-photograph it.

Approximately 17 inches tall, 9 inches wide, and 6 inches deep.
