Gravity

This piece is designed purely to show off the stone. Sometimes mother nature is the best artist of all, and the figuring in this piece of Italian alabaster is quite amazing.

The title came to me because I was reminded of pictures in physics textbooks showing how mass warps space, causing Gravity.

The stone is approximately 19" wide, 13" tall, and 6" thick. The base is 15" by 8" by 2" and is made from slabs of polished black granite.
