Gravity

Gravity Gravity
This piece is designed to show off the stone. Sometimes mother nature is the best artist of all, and the figuring in this piece of Italian alabaster is amazing. It has depth and movement that would conflict with a complex shape, so I kept it simple to let the stone speak.

The title came to me because I was reminded of pictures in physics textbooks showing how mass warps space, via the force of Gravity.

Dimensions: Approximately 19 inches wide, 13 inches tall, and 6 inches thick. The base is 15 inches by 8 inches by 2 inches and is made from polished black granite.
