This is a beautiful attack by Phil. The tip of his blade is
right on the end of my shoe. He probably started the attack
in the high line -- to my 4 (left) side -- which caused me
to parry to my left, and then drop my arm down following him
in, but very, very late. Eventually I realized what he was doing
and tried to retreat. That's why my front foot is raised.
I was trying to get it out of his way and failed.
By the way, I think he got that much bend in his blade by hitting
me first and then continuing his extension. Epee blades don't
usually bend quite that much without that sort of help.
